Gern leiten wir folgende PhD-Ausschreibung an euch weiter:
PhD position for 4 years, beginning March 2021
We offer a DFG funded 65% E13 position in a subprojects of the clinical research group ResolvePAIN „Peripheral mechanisms of pain and its resolution “.
This newly founded CRU provides an exciting scientific environment and collaborations with experimental and clinical groups at the Universities of Würzburg, Leipzig, and Berlin.
We have a strong focus on translational research and on promoting young scientists. The PhD candidates will investigate the impact of social factors in patients with two potentially reversible pain conditions, bortezomib induced peripheral neuropathy and complex regional pain syndrome. This project aims to understand the effect of social factors on pain resolution and pain chronification in a real-world context. To do so, we will use ecological momentary assessments (EMA) to characterize the social environment of patients that show prompt pain remission and those that suffer from chronic pain and assess their relationship with peripheral indicators of pain.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, independently working doctoral candidate (Master degree in Psychology, Neurosciences, or similar) with a strong interest in translational neuroscience.
Your commitment to science, interdisciplinary work, motivation and teamwork is most important to us. Prior experience with EMA and/or structural or functional magnetic resonance imaging would be a benefit. Candidates will participate in the doctoral program of the Graduate School of Life Sciences Würzburg. Excellent knowledge of the German language is required.
Applicants are asked to send a CV, publication list, motivation letter and, if applicable, letters of recommendation, by e-mail to:
